Scope of Services:
The mansion had not been habited since 1987 when it was used as a mining museum by Salford City Council. The Grade II Listed building was in a poor state following water ingress from roof leaks, vandalism and pigeons taking up roosting.
During the first phase, Schofield and Sons made the building safe for initial surveys for timber and masonry repairs. To do this we also had to install temporary lighting throughout the building to enable the surveys. We also carried out the removal of fixture and fittings.
Phase two saw structural repairs to timber floor and masonry walls, repair roof leaks. We also installed a wireless fire alarm throughout the building.
