Salford | 8 Weeks | £180,000

Temporary Roof Scaffold Installation:

A temporary roof scaffold covering was installed to protect the work area from the elements.

This allowed the team to work regardless of weather conditions, ensuring the project stayed on schedule.

Stripping Back the Roof:

The existing roof materials were fully stripped back to reveal the original timbers and steelwork.

This step was critical to assess the condition of the underlying structure.

Structural Repairs:

Remedial works were performed on the steel structure and timbers to ensure they were sound and capable of supporting the new roof.

These repairs were essential for the longevity and safety of the new roof.

Parapet Rebuilding:

The existing stone and brickwork parapets were carefully taken down.

Each piece was repaired as necessary and then meticulously rebuilt, preserving the original aesthetic and structural integrity.

Ongoing Bakery Operations:

The bakery remained open, with a live food preparation environment and general public access.

Implemented a comprehensive safety and planning strategy to keep the bakery operational and safe. The temporary roof scaffold ensured that no debris or elements affected the bakery below.
