Scope of Services:
The scope of this project was to convert a 125-year-old fire station and bank building into a bakery and micro-brewery, to serve as a facility for the university and the residents of Salford.
The locally listed building had fallen into significant disrepair and had been left untouched since the fire brigade left the building in the 1960s.
The client wanted to keep the heritage look of the building internally and install modern day fixture and fittings against this background.
Our scope of works involved Brickwork and masonry repairs, roof slate repairs, lead valley repairs and reinstating the original folding fire doors to full use. Internally, we completed a full commercial kitchen and bar fit out and installed the high spec M&E installation. Additionally, we managed the installation of the brewing cylinders and specialist brewing equipment.
